Dawn of Discovery is staffed by highly trained and skilled teachers dedicated to helping your child reach his or her full potential. To ensure staff quality, we select experienced teachers that are passionate about children.

All of our staff are CPR and 1st Aid Certified as well as trained in Abusive Head Trauma and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Ms. Jenna | Owner/Director

As Owner and Director of Dawn of Discovery, Jenna has dedicated her life to growing and nurturing this family-owned business. Her passion for early childhood education, commitment to excellence, and love for children are at the heart of everything she does. Jenna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from St. Cloud State University, graduating with honors, Magna Cum Laude. She brings more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, including creating engaging lesson plans, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, and providing exceptional care for children in childcare settings. Jenna is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them. She finds great joy in watching children learn, grow, and develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed. As a wife and mother of three children, Jenna understands the importance of finding a childcare program that families can trust. She strives to create a welcoming community where children, families, and staff feel supported and connected. When she is not at the center, Jenna enjoys spending time outdoors, running, and making memories with her husband and three children. Her dedication, leadership, and vision continue to help Dawn of Discovery grow while maintaining the warm, family-centered atmosphere that makes it a special place for children to learn and thrive.

Ms. Patty | Owner/Administrator

While you may not see Patty every day, she plays an essential role behind the scenes at Dawn of Discovery. As the owner, she is dedicated to ensuring our center runs smoothly, whether that means supporting our staff, helping guide the vision of our program, or even rolling up her sleeves to fix and maintain things around the building. Patty brings 15 years of experience in the medical field as a Medical Assistant, where she developed a strong commitment to caring for others and creating positive experiences for families. She believes that a nurturing, caring, and supportive environment helps children build self-confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and discover the world around them. Family is at the heart of everything Patty does. She has been married for over 30 years and is the proud mother of three wonderful daughters. When she is not working behind the scenes, she enjoys staying active through fitness and training, spending time with family at the lake, celebrating family traditions, and traveling. Patty's passion, dedication, and hands-on approach help make Dawn of Discovery a place where children, families, and staff can thrive.

Ms. Andrea | Assistant Director

We are proud to have Andrea as part of the Dawn of Discovery family since April 2016. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with Kindergarten and Special Education endorsements from South Dakota State University. With more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education, Andrea has dedicated her career to nurturing and supporting children from infancy through school age. Her extensive background includes teaching, curriculum development, implementation, and assessment, ensuring that children receive engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that foster growth and confidence. As Center Director, Andrea is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment where children can thrive and families feel supported. Her leadership, expertise, and commitment to high-quality early childhood education make her an invaluable part of our team. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, their two children, and their dog. She also loves cooking, snowmobiling, fishing, and making memories with family and friends at the family cabin. Andrea's dedication to children, families, and early learning shines through in everything she does, and we are grateful to have her leading our Dawn of Discovery community.
