Preschool (3 - 4 years)
The transition from toddlers to preschool can be a challenge for any child. However, Dawn of Discovery’s curriculum equips preschoolers with the confidence and educational background they need to make the jump with ease!
In addition to CPR and First Aid certification, our preschool teachers are trained in early childhood education and create original lesson plans to fit their classes. Dawn of Discovery integrates fitness and peer interaction into the curriculum for a well-rounded preschool experience.
Our preschool schedule includes:
- Weekly Physical Fitness Class (Sports, Yoga, etc.)

The purpose of our daily preschool activities is to improve social skills and physical fitness while laying the foundation for each school subject. We incorporate individual and teacher-directed activities to prepare your preschooler for the world of kindergarten.
ez Write™
Dawn of Discovery’s preschool curriculum will help your child learn how to write via the ez Write™ program. Used by the Elk River School District, ez Write™ is an effective and engaging handwriting program that accommodates different learning styles.
Yoga
Ms. Cat comes to teach yoga, incorporating different themes and crafts through movement and relaxation!

There is no better daycare around! Dawn of Discovery feels different from other centers as soon as you step in the door. I don’t know how the teachers and staff have the energy, compassion, and empathy that they show each and every day to my kids (and to me!).
